Plitvice Lakes National Park Relaxed Day Trip from Zadar

Duration: 8 hours

Moderate Activity

Experience the natural beauty of Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a relaxing day trip from Zadar. Enjoy a comfortable, air-conditioned round-trip to explore lakes, waterfalls, and caves at your own pace or with a certified tour guide. You'll have around 4-5 hours for scenic trails, boat rides, or just relaxing in the peaceful environment. Your adventure begins with pickup in Zadar (accompanied by a tour guide the entire trip), followed by a scenic drive to the park. With plenty of time, you can hike along the trails or unwind by the crystal-clear waters. Ticket prices (include boat and train ride) will be collected by the guide on the bus. The tickets are reserved in advance so you will have guaranteed entry. The ticket cost varies by season. Lunch or dinner options are available (at your own cost) in the park or near the entrance, with stops arranged by the guide. Perfect for independent explorers, who enjoy exploring on their own since it is not required to follow our guide inside the park.

Let’s go on a journey to endless memories together! ✈️🌍

Other personal expenses

Please note
  • Animals or pets allowed

Some parts are not child stroller accessible so we recommend a child carrier instead or a lightweight collapsible stroller.

Pets are permitted but they cannot move around freely; rather, they must be on the leash so as not to disturb or harm other visitors.

The areas included in the regular tours and the location of the lakes do not allow wheelchair access throughout the Park. Our escort can recommend the most accessible route for a person using a wheelchair or with impaired mobility, since, unfortunately, not all paths and trails are accessible to people with disabilities - please let us know in advance.

If using a wheelchair, it must be of a smaller size and collapsible - please contact us when booking.

During the winter period, the Lower Lakes are usually open to the public, while the Upper Lakes are closed. The opening of the Upper Lakes is subject to weather conditions and usually occurs in early April.

The tour has a certified tour guide included, but you are free to wander the NP on your own, provided that you follow instructions to meet back up to board the bus back to Zadar - be mindful of timekeeping and time zones on your phones and smart devices - your time needs to be synced to local time to match the tour guide's.

What to bring

Please keep in mind to bring proper clothes for this tour. We recommend walking shoes.

Bringing adequate rain and sun protection (umbrella, raincoat; sunglasses, hat, sunscreen – depending on the season and weather forecast). You can always leave the items you don't need on the bus.

At certain times NP has discounts so please bring your IDs (seniors, students, disability cards, etc).
